Using GD&T Symbols

GD&T symbols are rendered using the Y14.5-2018 Font available at https://peterkanold.com/fonts
To see the symbols and frames within excel reports, you must download and install the font on your computer. Additionally, you must set the font in the cells or columns within Excel.

Recent Updates

January 2026: Added drawing replacement feature for new revisions (change drawing but keep balloons and table). Added Pro Shop compatible CSV data export.
November 2025: Improved file save and auto save options. Added ability to save/load custom user templates in Template Manager
September 2025: Added GD&T recognition and symbols. Added auto-capture and ballooning. Settings saved in browser memory. Hosted on AWS Govcloud.
July 2025: Settings menu now collapsable by section to save space. Added 'Part Info' to settings. Added reference location and count as inputs in table. Added tolerance values to table and automatic calculations/updates to values (e.g., updating nominal or tolerance values update min/max, updating min/max updates tolerance, mean value automatically calculated based on min/max)
June 2025: UI/UX updated to Prevent large canvas size and scrolling (i.e., behaves more like a tradtional PDF editor). Zoom and pan by using 'ctrl' rather than 'shift' key.
May 2025: Added additional balloon shapes (square, diamond, hex, and triangle)
Apr 2025: UI/UX updates, page rotation input on top bar, conversion unit textboxes and color/size options for textboxes
Mar 2025: Added 'degrees' and 'other' unit options

Part Number Part number for this drawing

Part Name Descriptive name of the part

Company Customer or company name

Drawing Name Name or title of the drawing

Unit Settings ▼

Page Units Units of the page (i.e., the units that are shown on the drawing)

Table Units Units of the table. If this differs from the 'Page Units', the values will be converted upon capture.

Conversion Textbox If set to 'yes', automatically adds a textbox to the drawing with converted values

Conversion Decimals Number of decimal places on converted values

Default Tolerances ▼

Default Tol. Units Units of the default tolerances. This option is only active when the page units and the table units differ.

Default Tol. Type Choose how default tolerances are determined

ISO 2768 Tolerance Class Select the general tolerance class per ISO 2768

Whole Number =± Default tolerance for whole numbers

1 Decimal =± Default tolerance for numbers w/ 1 digits after decimal

2 Decimal =± Default tolerance for numbers w/ 2 digits after decimal

3 Decimal =± Default tolerance for numbers w/ 3 digits after decimal

4 Decimal =± Default tolerance for numbers w/ 4 digits after decimal

Fractions =± Default tolerance for fractions

Angles (°) =± Default tolerance for angles

Auto Renumber If set to 'yes', when deleting an item, all larger numbers decrease by 1. And when adding a number that exists, all numbers larger than or equal to that number increase by 1.

Max Rows Max number of rows to show in table (1-20)

Table Sort Direction of automatic table sort after adding a new item. Ascending (e.g., 1, 2, 3...), Descending (e.g, 20, 19, 18...) or None
